Holiday Gift Knitting Suggestions

Filed under: News — by SpinningYarnsOnline @ 5:20 am

The Holidays are quickly approaching.  As a matter of fact, Hannukah is early this year.  It starts in the beginning of December!!  Before you know it, Christmas will be here too.  That said, let’s talk gift knits that are quick to knit up.   Interweave Knits magazine has a Holiday Gifts edition and there are some patterns in there that would be absolutely beautiful knit in Spinning Yarns Online yarns.  Here are some suggestions:

Sweetheart Sock, page 29

These socks would be perfect knit up in our new Semi Solids!!

Or you might like Socks for Veronik, page 29

Again, another pattern that would work perfectly using the Semi Solids.

There is a pattern for a totally precious little teddy bear that I think would be great knit in either a Semi Solid or a fun Variegated Multi.

Any child on your list would love this cute little guy.   The pattern can be found on page 34.

But my favorite pattern is for the Annetrelac Socks found on page 37.  They are specifically designed to be knit in hand dyed yarn.  These socks in the Violet Rubies colorway are sitting in my “On Deck” basket.

(My thanks again to my friend Pam who a few years ago turned me into an Entrelac Junky!  I’ve knit felted totes, the Lady Eleanor from the Scarf Style book (twice!).  Now, thanks to this pattern, I’ll have some entrelac socks to go with my collection.)

So there you have it.  Some suggestions from Interweave Knits - Holiday Edition that would be fabulous in our yarns.  There is not much time left so let’s get knitting!
