A quick update, the colorways that are on clearance are almost out of stock. I expect to take them off the site by the beginning of next week. If you are interested in Gecko, Violet Rubies, Holly Berry or Spring Flower they are currently being closed out. I am making room for our fall colorways.
I currently am working on a new product line for SpinningYarnsOnline. The colorways are being tested and I expect to be able to unveil our new addition to our products shortly. I’ll keep you posted on its progress….
We are clearing out a few colorways in order to make room for new ones. We are doing this to get ready for the new fall colorways that are currently in development. Some sneak peaks will be posted very soon. In the meantime, stock up on these while the getting is good ’cause once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Just a quickie to say that the store has been updated and all colorways are back in stock. I’m so glad that the Confetti colorway is a hit. I will be adding more intricate color patterns next week. We will also be having a closeout sale on certain colorways that will be discontinued. I expect to get that together some time next week. My kids are finishing up with school today and start camp next week. I should have everything that will be sold as a closeout up on the site by the end of next week.

I have begun spinning some of the roving that I bought at the MA Sheep and Wool Festival. I started with the superwash merino since I have successfully spun merino before. Here is the first bobbin-ful.
What, you don’t see a picture??? That’s because WordPress is not letting me insert pictures into my post today. If there was a picture, you would see that I have spun a beautiful bobbinful of a greyish, purple-ish tweedy yarn with some flecks of yellow and green. I plan on spinning another bobbin and then plying them together to make a nice worsted weight yarn. I’m not a very experienced ply-er so any tips from you spinners out there would definitely be appreciated.
A quick store update, the new colorway Confetti is a big hit. I have sold almost the entire first batch. I will be painting/dyeing another batch soon. Since I am using a different (and slightly more complicated) painting process, the next batch might be slightly different. I will update the picture on the website and here (hopefully) accordingly. Thanks to all you Confetti lovers out there!

This is a Baby Surprise Sweater knit up in Spinning Yarns Semi Solids. This combo is red, green, blue and yellow (aka The Primaries).
Knit-a-Bit in Westfield, NJ (http://www.knit-a-bit.com/) asked me to dye up some Semi Solids for these great kits. The kit comes with enough yarn to make a baby sweater using the Baby Surprise pattern by Elizabeth Zimmerman. Apparently there is enough yarn left over to knit up a cute hat too. Got to love that. Knit-a-Bit is a LYS here in New Jersey. They have 4 different kits available. Give them a call at 908-301-0053 and I bet they could ship one out to you if you don’t live in the area.
We are working on our spring colorways that will be introduced after the first of the year. Stay tuned, we are dyeing up some great color combinations. There will be new merino wool roving added within the next week. They are soft and spin up like a dream.

We’ve just added our new Semi Solid line of colorways. There are eight colors available in both fingering weight and sport weight 100% superwash merino wool. Here are a few pictures:

The Semi Solids are hand painted so there are tone variations but they are much more subdued and subtle than the variegated multis. These will be perfect for lace work in socks, shawl, scarves and the like. Enjoy!!!
